When an audiobook is better than reading

According to researchers, many people who listen to an audiobook are able to recall and retain more information than those who read the book in the more traditional way. We hope, then, that the audiobook version of Responsible and Responsive Parenting in Autism: Between Now and Dreams will help more readers harness the key powers of caregiving: learning, loving and connecting.

What’s more, researchers found that listening to a human voice can elicit an emotional response to the material, particularly with the author’s voice.
